Big Splash

A new addition for the 2011 series, Triangle Triathlon Club are proudly hosting the second Big Splash Triathlon in association with the Big Splash River Festival and Gig n the Bann.

The triathlon will be over the classic sprint distance, with 750 meter open water swim,
12 mile cycle and the a 3 mile run. The course and distance is short and flat enough for beginners and yet challenging enough for the seasoned triathlete.

The 4th race in the 2010 series was the Waterways Ireland Fermanagh Lakeland Triathlon.

The Waterways Ireland Fermanagh Lakeland Triathlon was on Sunday 27th June 2010 at Fermanagh Lakeland Lodges. It was a new race for 2010 conceived by the Pioneer Group.

The race begins with an open-water swim in Lower Lough Erne, followed by an out-and-back bike along the main roads surrounding Fermanagh Lakeland Lodges and finishing with an off-road run in the beautiful natural surroundings of the race venue. It is a Sprint Distance Triathlon consisting of:

  • 750m open-water swim
  • 20km bike
  • 5km run
